Graduate mechanical/manufacturing/design engineer – Filton, Bristol

We are looking for enthusiastic engineers to join our small, dynamic team. Robot integration requires quick thinking and problem solving when under pressure as well as clear analytical abilities throughout the project process from initial concept to after-sales customer support.

 

Role:

  • Assessing customer requirements and proposing solutions
  • Design of integrated automation systems based around collaborative robots
  • On-site commissioning and support in the UK, working away from home approx. 12 weeks a year
  • Liaising with manufacturers and using in-house 3d printing
  • Building integrated systems, programming and testing on mock-ups
  • Producing design documentation and risk assessments

 

Requirements:

  • At least a 2:2 degree in mechanical engineering / physics / robotics, or work experience that demonstrates the same skill level
  • 3D CAD design experience (Preferably Autodesk e.g. Fusion360)
  • Background in hands-on mechanical and electrical skills prior to university
  • Programming experience
  • Full UK driving license and own car
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • The right to live and work in the UK on an ongoing basis without sponsorship

 

Desirable:

  • PLC and HMI programming experience (preferably Siemens)
  • Electrical and pneumatic systems experience
  • Robot programming experience
  • Machine vision experience
  • Previous work on robot systems
  • Previous exposure to assembly lines in manufacturing plants
